It’s spring time so, how is your home in Virginia doing? Your home deserves a check up. Since winter is almost gone, it’s time for some home check up to get ready for the coming spring. Here are some areas in your home that you need to check out.

Check the exteriors

1. Examine the exterior of your Chester Springs Luxury home especially the walls and the roof for damage and if there are any loose or blistered shingles, cracked and some pieces falling, replace them immediately.

2. Remove all debris from the gutters.  Make sure that the downspouts are directing water away from the foundation.

3. Examine chimneys, vents, and roof edges. Remove or trim down branches that are touching your home. Repair small cracks in your driveway.

Check the Interiors

1. Look for signs of water penetration by going up into your attic. Look for damp insulation, damage sockets or blocked vents that could prevent good circulation through the attic.

2. Clean your furnace and change your furnace filter.

3. Check your smoke detectors and replace batteries if necessary.

Home maintenance is something that you have to do continuously especially when the season changes. Checking your home and responding with repairs is a surefire way to extend the life of your property. We may not have all the resources for doing some major repairs, but what we can we do is make sure that everything in the home is working properly. We call this preventive maintenance – a type of upkeep that is less expensive than doing repairs.

Home maintenance is necessary and must be done on a regular basis. Doing a regular Arizona home check up make sure that you will have a safe home that will last.
